Organised by Berlin students of the academy pixelapostel, the EUROPEAN FOOTBALL MASTERS 2009 offers student football fans the ultimate opportunity to kick it in the city that hosted this year’s World Champs.

So get a worthy team together to represent your University! The aim of the game is fun; as per our motto:

„play fast – party harder!“

WELCOME TO THE EUROPEAN FOOTBALL MASTERS 2009 in Berlin

Dear students,

Image During the summer of 2006 the entire football world came together in Germany for a magical few weeks of the best the sport has to offer. The FIFA World Cup of 2006 was a tremendous event, not just from a sporting perspective, but most of all because it brought people together from around the globe in a spirit of friendship.

Our third European Football Masters event has the precisely the same aim. This tournament has been organized by the pixelapostel academy for student teams from all over Europe.

More than 300 students of the departments of sports management and event management will gather for a weekend of activities, sport and fun at the HERTHA BSC grounds and in the pulsating capital of Berlin.

There is, of course, a lot of work to be expected during such a tournament, but also, we anticipate, a lot of enthusiasm and engagement. The fact that this event aims to promote not only fair competition but also contact among the decision-makers of the future - on and off the field - is particularly important for me, and lends it an added weight in the context of the new, expanded Europe.

Thus it is with great pleasure that HERTHA BSC has agreed to be the patron for this tournament, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to our magnificent, modern football grounds. For us, the motto from 2006's World Cup - “A time to make friends” - remains just as relevant.

In this spirit I would like to wish everyone an exciting and rewarding tournament and an action-packed time in Berlin.

With warm regards,

Ingo Schiller Manager of HERTHA BSC
